What Grade Are You Going To Teach?

Next you should determine what grade you want to teach. The best way to determine this would be by observing in the classroom, a day care center, or after school tutoring program. The more time you spend with different age groups, the better you will know what age group you will like to teach. There are many sites on the internet also that you can research and get teachers feedback on how and why they chose the grade they did and why they like the grade they teach.

  1. I agree with you that the more time you spend with a certain age group the better you will know which age group suits you. Doing that can give a person insight as to which group they truly want to work with or if they want to completely change their professions. I also agree that volunteering is a good way to find that out.

  2. I agree with you that future teachers should go and volunteer and observe all age groups. This will really help them decide what grades they would like to teach. I am currently working in a day care and now that I would like to teach kid that are a little bit older once I get my degree. I think it is important as a future teacher to go and volunteer because you get to be more hands on with the kids then you do observing.
